Terms

The deal, in plain words.

Teleoplexy connects people to licensed professionals and lets them book a video visit. We are the booking network. We are not the one who treats you. These terms say what we do, what the professional does, and what happens when a plan changes.

I · What Teleoplexy is

A place to find someone and book a time.

Teleoplexy is a directory of verified professionals and a way to book a video visit with one. We check that a licence is real, we show you the times a professional actually has open and the price on their card, and we carry the payment. That is the entire service.

We are not a medical, legal, or accounting practice. We don’t provide care, give advice, diagnose anything, or decide who is right for you. We don’t supervise professionals, review their work, or stand behind the outcome of a visit. The professional does all of that, and answers for it.

This is not for an emergency. If someone is in physical danger — chest pain, trouble breathing, a serious injury — call 911 or go to an emergency department. If someone is thinking about suicide or self-harm, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline answers day and night: call or text 988, or chat at 988lifeline.org. It is free. Don’t wait on a booking.

II · The professionals

Independent, and verified before they appear.

Every professional on this network is independent. They are not our employees, partners, or agents. They set their own hours, write their own prices, decide who they take on, and are responsible for their own licensing, insurance, and records. Your agreement for care is with them, not with us.

What we verify before a professional can be booked: their identity, through a government ID check; their licence number, against the issuing board’s own record; and their standing against the federal OIG exclusion list. A verified mark means we checked. It is not a review, a rating, or a recommendation.

Professionals also carry obligations to us: keep the licence current, keep the card honest, show up for booked times, and tell us if anything about that standing changes. A professional who doesn’t comes off the network.

III · Booking, cancelling, refunds

The time is the agreement.

A professional posts the times they have open and the price. When you book one of those times and pay, the visit is confirmed then and there — nobody has to accept afterwards, because posting the time was the offer and booking it was the yes.

Refunds go back to the card that paid, through Stripe, and take as long as your bank takes. To cancel, email [email protected] — and do it early if you can, so the time goes back on the board for someone else.

IV · Fees

Ten dollars a month, and the price on the card.

A card costs ten dollars a month, flat. There is no premium tier, no boost, and no placement to buy. The fee buys you a place in the network and nothing else — it never touches ranking or reach. Ordering happens inside the asker’s own assistant, somewhere we cannot reach.

A visit costs what the professional’s card says it costs. They set that price; we don’t. It is shown before you pay and charged once, at the moment you book. Payments run through Stripe. After a paid visit, a clinician can issue a superbill you may submit to insurance — whether your insurer pays is between you and them.

Membership renews monthly until you cancel, and cancelling stops the next charge rather than refunding the last one. We’ll give notice before any price change.

V · Using it properly

A short list, and none of it is a surprise.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these, and we will close one that endangers someone. If we close your account, the deletion terms in the privacy page still apply to what we hold.

VI · The legal part

Said once, without the fog.

The service is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted, and we don’t promise an outcome from any visit. We are not liable for the care, advice, or conduct of an independent professional — that is theirs. Where we are liable for something, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before it happened. Nothing here limits liability the law doesn’t let us limit.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If we change them, we’ll post the new version here with a new date, and keep using the service means you’re on the new one.
